A dynamic problem solver with a keen strategic eye and entrepreneurial spirit, I have experience as a designer, consultant, technologist, and entrepreneur successfully applying technology to meet the needs of government, non-profit, military, and commercial organizations. Very curious, I am a quick study and have a strong desire to serve human needs through practical solutions.
Much of my experience revolves around developing information systems that enable users to exploit information to make better, more timely and effective decisions. Although I have developed in Perl and Java, worked with large data sets, can write SQL queries, and am generally fluent with the nuts and bolts of IT -- I bring the most value through effective project management and the design of intuitive, usable human-machine interfaces. It is in this role where I can bring together interdisciplinary teams to define requirements and develop user-validated designs that yield functional, usable, high-performance systems.
I strive to be a polymath and enjoy work that calls on my creative, organizational, social, and technical capacities to solve complex problems. I have a strong interest in clean & green tech, as well as improving the state of the art and/or social good.
